I’m the photographer behind Bluejae Photography, my names Jadene but some people call me Jae and I’ve been capturing wildlife for five years. What began as a love of photography has grown into a deep appreciation for the animals, places and moments that make the natural world so special. It all started with some bluejays in the backyard where I grew up. I would go out every morning and practice capturing photos of them… and so it began. April 2021 I completed a certificate in the Professional Development Photography course to expand my technical knowledge behind the camera.

Birds are my favourite subjects, but I love all animals and the opportunity to photograph them in their own environment. Over the years, my work has been featured in Canadian Geographic on multiple occasions — something I’m incredibly proud of.

Above all, I believe wildlife belongs in the wild. I’m passionate about respecting animals, protecting their natural spaces and sharing images that encourage others to appreciate wildlife without disturbing it.
